Being that we in the Northern hemisphere are currently in the grips of winter, I thought it about time I shared this summertime shoot. Hopefully it warms us all up a bit with the promise of outdoor dining and island life. This styled wedding shoot was inspired by and shot on the beautiful island of Hvar, north of Dubrovnik. It was a joint design and styling collaboration between myself and the super talented Vicki of Pocketful of Dreams who is also modelling here. This shoot was the result of months of creative brainstorming between myself and Vicki whilst back in our respective homes, London and Cornwall. We used Pinterest as a great tool to put the visual ideas together for what we wanted. We also took the Dalmatian Coast and The Mediterranean as a launching pad for the design.
Drawing from the beauty of the surroundings and the relaxed vibe of the Mediterranean we designed and styled an intimate elopement picnic, set against the setting sun. Stripped back styling using fresh produce and incorporating local wedding traditions enabled us to capture a romantic and peaceful look. Whilst neutral tones with pops of yellow perfectly complemented the rocks and the vivid turquoise sea.

Love this shoot – and Vicki looks absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks Anneli – I’m not really pushing this shoot yet since I’m in the process of submitting it to a few places … so you got a sneak peek! x
I love everything about this shoot, you ladies did a superb job. Stunning setting and those citrus colours just pop against the soft sandy dusky setting. Fabulous xxx
Oh my, this is so very beautiful. You captured the beauty of Croatia (and Vicki) perfectly! I love the thought of an elopement picnic by the sea.
Thanks Elizabeth … it really was a lovely shoot to do and so much fun putting all the ideas together. We had to allow for some spontaneity since we were planning from England. Doesn’t Vicki look great! x
